Professional Certification Program Conceptual Framework
The Professional Certification Program for Teachers (EPCT) was developed and designed by a group of four College of Education faculty (Drs. Marshak, McGuire, Murphy, and Schlick Noe) representing the teacher education (MIT) and curriculum and instruction (CUIN) programs and a teacher education adjunct faculty member (Dr. Simpson) who was also a consultant working with the Professional Certification Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction to develop the Washington State Professional Certification requirements for teachers. The College of Education design work was done during the 2001-2002 school year.
