Admission Requirements
Requirements for admission to the Preassessment Seminar only are:
- Valid Washington State Residency Teaching Certificate
- Evidence of current full-time employment as a teacher in a Washington State public school or state-approved private school
- Non-Matriculation Form
- Official transcript with a posted bachelor's degree
NOTE: Teachers may take the Preassessment Seminar prior to completing Provisional employment status.
Requirements to complete the 6-credit program or to enter the program for the Culminating Seminar:
- Preassessment Seminar Admissions Requirements #1 and #2 above
- A 3.0 GPA for the undergraduate degree or an earned master’s degree or higher graduate degree
- Evidence of completion of Provisional employment status in a public school district or the equivalent in a state-approved private school— permission to participate in the program may be granted on the Provisional Status/Employer Support Verification form
- Official transcripts from every college or university attended in the last 90 credits (60 semester) of the bachelor’s degree and any postbaccalaureate coursework
- Evidence of successful completion of the Preassessment Seminar including a copy of the applicant’s Professional Growth Plan and official transcript documenting attendance at another Washington state university.
Application Deadlines
November 3 for admission to the Winter Quarter Preassessment Seminar. February 17 for admission to the Spring Quarter Culminating Seminar (transfer students only)
