John is entering his 35th year of service to students in Washington’s public schools. Wife Rose is a nurse in the Snohomish School District; son Jense graduated in May 2006 with business degree from Gonzaga; and daughter Meghan is a sophomore education major at Gonzaga.
John retired from full-time administrative work in 2002. During a 30 year career he filled a variety of roles: paraeducator, teacher, coach, athletic director, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent, and superintendent. After retiring John has taken “retire-rehire” positions as dean of students, assistant principal, principal, and superintendent. John currently serves as the part-time superintendent of the Morton School District.
John received his doctorate degree in 1984 from Seattle University’s Educational Leadership program. He is thrilled to return to SU as a coach in the New Principals program!
