Applicants need to demonstrate that they have experience with young people in a setting that promotes skills transferable to a K-12 classroom. Examples include observation and assistance in a K-12 setting, working with school aged students at a summer camp, volunteering at a tutoring program, and/or experience leading youth groups at a place of worship. * Both the autobiographical statement and the writing sample are evaluated on the basis of content and proper use of grammatical conventions.
