What is the writing sample, and how do I sign up?
The writing sample is a 30-minute, hand-written writing exercise administered by the MIT program. Applicants must complete the writing sample prior to the application deadline in order for their application to be complete. The writing sample is offered four times in the month prior to the application deadline. To sign up for the writing sample, please call 206-296-2300.

Do I need to submit my recommendations with the rest of my application materials?
Your recommendations may be submitted directly by your recommenders, or they may be returned to you and submitted with the remainder of your application materials. If the recommendations are returned to you, please be sure that the envelopes remain sealed and that your recommenders sign along the seal.
