The Master in Teaching Program at Seattle University is a full-time, cohort-based degree program in teacher education that offers both a master's degree in teaching and a Residency Teaching Certificate in four academic quarters. Masters in Teaching Non-Tenure Track Instructor position is available now!
The College of Education invites applications for a 1-year, full time non-tenure track Instructor position w/in the College of Education for AY 2012-13 (with possibility of renewal). The position begins August 2012. Summer teaching is required and includes additional compensation. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team of 8 faculty in the Master in Teaching Program (MIT) within the College of Education.
A Doctorate or A.B.D. in English Language Learners (ELL) preferred. Teacher Education, Curriculum and Instruction or closely related area will be considered. Ability to work and teach effectively in team settings, demonstrated successful teaching experience in K-12 settings. Graduate teaching preferred with a strong general background in teacher education. Candidates should highlight specific areas of expertise in their applications.
