EDLR Governance Committee
The Governance Committee will serve in an advisory capacity to the director and be responsible for:
- assessing program effectiveness; reviewing course offerings
- recommending program policy, recommending and evaluating admission processes;
- reviewing curriculum; recommending approval of concentrations; evaluating program delivery;
- and monitoring reserach quality (methodology, dissertation guidelines, inquiry clusters and community-based research).
Governance Committee membership will include:
- one lead faculty member from those teaching each of the three major leadership strands
- one faculty representative from each concentration
- one faculty member representing all inquiry clusters (if not already represented)
The Governance Committee will elect a chiar who will serve in that capacity for a two-year period. The College of Education dean will serve as an ex-officio member of the Governance Committee.
