General Information

Choose your specialization.

The program in educational administration offers three specializations to meet the needs of instructional leaders in K-12 and post-secondary schools as well as other organizations featuring educational activities. The specializations are Principalship, Program Administration, and General Administration.

Washington State Certification as a principal or program administrator is available with the master's degree. Certification is also available as a post-master's option, as part of an educational specialist degree or doctoral degree.

Students may earn a master of education (M.Ed.) degree in all specializations (48 to 51 credits, depending on the specialization). A Master of Arts in education (M.A.Ed.) degree requires 3 additional credits, including a graduate project. For information on earning a 45-credit post-master's educational specialist (Ed. S.) degree go to the link at the bottom of the page.
