Bailey Gatzert serves approximately 450 students in kindergarten through fifth grade, and it is within walking distance from Seattle U. Tutors are needed to help children in the Community Learning Center's after school homework club Monday through Thursday from 3:20-4:15, and with enrichment classes from 4:15-5:30. Minor is located eight blocks for the Seattle U campus and serves 250 students from pre-kindergarten to fifth grade. Volunteers at Minor work in the classroom as teacher assistants or one-on-one with students outside of class every day from 9:00-3:00. Click on the link above for more information about T.T. Minor.

Thurgood Marshall Elementary

Thurgood Marshall is located at 23rd and Judkins- a bus, bike or car ride from the SU campus. Volunteers are needed to work in the classroom througout the day either during the morning reading block (9:00-11:00) or on a one-to-one basis in the afternoon. Tutors are also needed to work with children in the Bilingual Orientation Center and in the afterschool tutoring program which operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:20-4:20. Meany Middle School

Meany Middle School serves approximately 550 students, grades six to eight. Located near Miller Community Center, Meany is a short bike, car, or bus ride from campus. Bus #12 will take you directly to the school.

Tutors are matched with students according to age and subject preference. Tutors work individually with students throughout the school day, 8:15-2:15. Tutors are also needed during the afterschool program which runs from 2:30-3300
