Become a Tutor
The Children's Literacy Project recruits, trains, and supports
tutors to work onsite in our five partner Seattle Public Schools. Tutors commit
a minimum of one hour per week for three months (one academic quarter) and
chose from a variety of volunteer opportunities. If you are interested in
becoming a tutor, please contact the Children's Literacy Project office by

Requirements and Qualifications

Have a strong desire to help children learn

Be able to commit to volunteering at least one hour per week for at least three
months. Hours are flexible and chosen by the volunteer.

Attend a CLP training session prior to the start of tutoring.

Be a positive role model of a lifelong learner.

Be flexible.

Be reliable.

3:20-4:30 Enrichment classes for 3-5th graders 4:15 - 5:30
