Staff

Our office excels at providing professional and comprehensive customer service with a personal touch. Our staff include:

SusanEllen Bacon, Ph.D.

Assistant Dean and Director

Susan received her BA Ed. from Western, her MS in Communicative Disorders from Marquette University and her Ph.D. from Kent State University.  She has taught kindergarten, been a public school speech pathologist, in special education administration, taught at the college level and led professional development and continuing education initiatives for 14 school districts and  two colleges.  Her professional development experience has also found her in front of the room sharing her expertise in listening with school districts all over the country and with numerous Fortune 100 corporations. 

Susan has a passion for “listening” (check out the International Listening Association), reading, golfing, playing bridge, enjoying her grandchildren and discovering Seattle with her husband.

Margaret Klein

Administrative Assistant

Margaret earned a BA from Indiana University in Italian with a concentration of International Communications and Information. She studied in Italy for a year at the University of Bologna. Margaret relocated to Seattle to work for The Bureau of Education and Research as a Program Manager. After two years of traveling, managing professional development seminars for educators in cities across the country, she is settling into Seattle and enjoying a work-life balance.

Beverley Silver

Program Coordinator

Beverley received her BFA and MA in Education from Washington University in St. Louis. Her professional background is in art education. She is a certified teacher with experience at both the elementary and high school levels and a college art methods instructor. For 15 years she directed educational programs at Bellevue Art Museum. Beverley also serves as coordinator for Educator Career Services in the College of Education.

Beverley considers herself a "semi-native" of Seattle and enjoys good art, good food, good books and good weather.

Kaelin Richards

Office Assistant

Kaelin is a student at Seattle University. She participates in the campus work study program to gain professional work experience while attending school. She provides valuable administrative and office support to our team.
