Programs
The majority of the students in this program are working adults who choose to take one or two classes each quarter. During the summer quarter, teachers frequently are able to take additional courses. For all part-time students, the time required to complete the program will relate directly to the number of courses that their work schedule will allow. For a full-time student, the program typically requires a minimum of two years for completion.

Part III. Electives
12 credits required
We encourage students to take elective courses that
support and promote their professional goals.
Students have considerable flexibility in the selection
of electives, both from within the College of
Education, and from other graduate programs at
Seattle University, including public administration,
business administration, and theological studies.
Planning elective courses must be done in consultation with an academic advisor to ensure that all program requirements are met. Detailed information on
course offerings within Curriculum and Instruction
can be found in the Graduate Bulletin. Students
wishing elective course work in reading and literacy
are invited to take classes listed under Literacy for
Special Needs (LITC) as outlined in the Graduate
Bulletin.
