Admission Requirements: Post-Master's in Community College Teaching

• Request an application packet from the Graduate Admissions office. Applications are accepted each quarter. Deadlines for receipt of application materials are: Fall Quarter – July 20; Winter Quarter – November 20; Spring Quarter – February 20; and Summer Quarter – May 20.
• Request official transcripts sent to the applicant or directly to Seattle University documenting master’s degree (or higher) from a regionally accredited college or university in a field other than education. If mailed to applicant, transcripts must remain in sealed envelopes.
• Send two recommendations, using the forms available in the application packet. One recommendation should be from the master’s degree adviser and the other from a current supervisor, regarding student’s ability to perform as a teacher in the content field. If mailed to applicant, completed recommendation forms must be in sealed envelopes, signed across the flap.
• Submit completed College of Education Self-Assessment form.
• Send the completed application form and the supporting documents, with the application fee, in one large envelope to the Graduate Admissions office. Note that the entire application process may be completed online (access and instructions are provided on the Graduate Admissions website).
