Degree and Certificate Options
Degree Options
The Adult Education and Training program offers two degree options: the Master of Arts degree and the Master of Education degree. Both require 48 credits including an internship. The MA requires completion of the AEDT 595 graduate project. The project is a problem-based scholarly product focusing on an area of student interest.
The MEd option allows a student to take an elective course in lieu of AEDT 595. Generally, students choose their degree option after completing 15 credit hours in the program.
Students must work closely with their Adviser in scheduling courses. Some courses have prerequisites. The quarterly Schedule of Classes lists official schedules and prerequisites. All courses are three academic credits, except those offered for variable credit (AEDT 567 and AEDT 596).
