ADDED ENDORSEMENT SERVICE

College of Education           Seattle University

NOTE: ONLY for those with a current valid Washington State Teacher's Certificate (initial or residency). Not for those in pre-service teacher education programs nor for any teacher with a standard (lifetime) teacher's certificate (an endorsement invalidates standard certificates).

Click here for a complete list of all requirements for all added endorsements that can be obtained through the College of Education at Seattle University

Click here for a complete list of all downloadable added endorsement verification forms.  The appropriate endorsement verification form is to be filled in by all added endorsement applicants.

Click here for a complete list of all downloadable added endorsement 'portfolio forms'.  A portfolio is required for all endorsements, but the use of the "portfolio form" is optional since there is more than one way to provide evidence of meeting knowledge and skill competencies.  If the "portfolio form" is used to submit evidence of meeting competencies, the form is to be filled out by a qualified professional who is asked to assess the degree to which an applicant for an added endorsement has met all state required endorsement competencies.

Click here to access the WEST-E website where information can be found on registering for a WEST-E test, on the schedule and location of tests in the state of Washington, and where a list of all Washington state endorsements and their minimum passing scores can be found.
