BiographyWilliam O'Connell, Ed.D., received a Doctor of Education from the University of Cincinnati in 2002 specializing in Counselor Education and Supervision, and Behavioral Health Counseling. Dr. O'Connell has over 25 years of experience working as
a professional counselor and educator. His work experience includes direct service counseling in community mental health, community corrections, hospitals and private practice.He has worked as an administrator, supervisor and consultant in community counseling settings and K-12 schools. Professionally, he is affiliated with the American Counseling Association and co-advisor for Chi Sigma Iota professional honors society at Seattle University. As Associate Professor at Seattle University, Dr. O'Connell serves on the Institutional Review Board (IRB), Conduct Review Board, and College of Education Scholarship Award Committee. Courses include Assessment and Diagnosis, Introduction to Community Counseling, Consultation and Supervision, Legal & Ethical Issues, Practicum and Internship.
His areas of scholarship include best practices in counselor education and supervision, and ethical dilemmas in practice. |
