A green team is an effective way to reduce a department’s environmental impact. A team approach ensures all offices are participating in the program and allows for the work to be distributed among several people. One member of the team is a department head to show executive buy-in and so decisions can be made quickly. Lunch Time Discussion Course
Faculty, staff and students can participate in a free, weekly discussion course during the lunch hour. A different topic is explored fall and winter quarter, such as: voluntary simplicity, health, and food. Past participants say the diverse perspectives gave them a different way of looking at the issues. The courses last from 4 to 7 weeks and weekly readings take about 40 minutes.
