  • SU Supports Strong Emissions Regulation

Father Sundborg joined fellow American College & University Presidents' Climate Commitment signatories in sending individual letters to President Obama in support of strong emissions regulation of existing power plants. The advocacy letter was in response to the Environmental Protection Agency releasing its draft standards.

The letter notes that as an institution of higher education Seattle University has a moral and social responsibility to rise to the challenge of global climate disruption. Addressing the climate crisis through reducing power plant carbon pollution fits our mission to empower leaders for a just and humane world.  Read the letter.
