Communities of Practice

This Community of Practice is an online community that seeks to improve transition services and post-school outcomes for youth with disabilities in Washington State through interacting, sharing knowledge and asking questions. The members who make up this community are paramount to the success of this mission. People who are involved with or who have an interest in special education services, particularly transition services and post-school outcomes, are encouraged to join this community.

The Communities of Practice (CoP's) are available through Seattle University's website: http://community.seattleu.edu/forums/default.aspx?GroupID=62. To participate in the online forums you must be a registered user. After clicking on the link, click 'join' in the upper right-hand corner of the page and complete the registrations process. All posts will be approved by staff at CCTS before they are made public.

We encourage all members of this community to interact with one another by answering questions, sharing knowledge and building on one another's perspectives. By doing this it is our hope that the discussions will have a synergistic effect, in which transition services and post-school outcomes will continue to improve for youth with disabilities in Washington State.
