Seattle University Staff
At Career Services of Seattle University, we believe that SU staff play an instrumental role in the vocational and professional development of SU students and alumni, turning the SU workforce into a major stakeholder and partner of our efforts. Because of this, in collaboration with Student Development, the members of the Career Services Group, and working with SU students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, parents, companies, and organizations, Career Services has designed and currently offers the set of staff services listed below. Career Services aims to serve staff who seek support for their department or program and for staff interested in contributing to the career development of students and alumni through their work, collaboration with us, mentorship, or sharing their expertise.
Presentations or Workshops for Department or Program Staff (i.e., outreach presentations and/or workshops available to SU staff by Career Services professionals and/or staff/faculty colleagues) on any of the subjects listed below (If interested, please contact pascoead@seattleu.edu .):

Student/Alumni Mentoring
Coming Soon: A mentor-student online network through the SU Career Services' Redhawk Network . To network with other mentors and/or become available to SU students/alumni for career mentoring/support, please access the Redhawk Network through our website and register under the Alumni Mentor Network. The system allows you to limit the quantity and type of requests you receive.
Networking Event Series

Access to the Redhawk Network
Coming Soon: Staff can register in the Redhawk Network to: view company profiles, job postings, view and/or register for any Career Services event, and/or utilize any of the many features offered by this tool (e.g., mentor network).
Tours of Career Services
Schedule your department to visit Career Services. Our staff will provide an overview of our resources and programs and how best to refer students to use them in the career-planning process.
Staff Participation in Student Programs or Course Sessions
Participation as presenter, panelist or mentor in SU student programs or course sessions (e.g., industry-specific networking events, career days, skill/knowledge-development workshops, company presentations, and/or course sessions or diverse content areas, etc.). Staff Participation in the Career Services Group or the Career Services Advisory Board
Participation as member or officer of the Career Services Group (i.e., an SU explicit or implicit career-service-partner advisory and collaboration group), or the Career Services Advisory Board (i.e., a career-service advisory group formed by employers, alumni, faculty, and staff), which meet once per quarter and twice per academic year, respectively. Career-Development Brainstorming Group
Participation in weekly career-development brainstorming meetings , as staff seeking career-development ideas and solutions, or as a mentor collaborating with a Career Services staff facilitator to assist SU students and alumni with their career questions or dilemmas. Language Groups
In today's global world, a second language is a highly-prized commodity by employers. Career Services makes language groups available to give students, alumni, faculty, and staff the opportunity to practice a second language and develop their self-efficacy in marketing these skills . Staff are invited to join as participants or as facilitators. Please check our events calendar for the next Language Group meeting. Career Services is constantly looking for more language facilitators.
