Jewish Student Union
Seattle University’s Jewish Student Union is a Campus Ministry sponsored group for anyone who is Jewish or is interested in Judaism and Jewish culture. One of the main goals of the JSU is to provide space and programs for Jewish students to meet and make connections with one another. Another goal is to help people on the SU campus celebrate Jewish holidays and to educate others in order to promote understanding about Judaism and Jewish culture.
The JSU sponsors activities such as Friday Shabbat dinners, a Hanukkah party, Passover Seder, and Passover Retreat. For more information, please contact Carissa Perkins.
Muslim Student Association
Seattle University’s Muslim Student Association meets regularly throughout the year, and is advised by Tad Monroe. Islamic prayer is held in the Multifaith prayer room. The Eid dinner at the end of Ramadan is one of the most memorable events of the year. For more information, email Carissa Perkins.
SBNR (Spiritual But Not Religious)
Finding spiritual community outside of established religions can be difficult. Campus Ministry would love to provide space and resources for students who identify as spiritual but not religious, are actively avoiding labels, or otherwise elude easy categorization.
