HOT SCOOP Last Chance to Register! The last day to register for winter quarter is January 10. This is the last day to add or drop classes, adjust your grading options or finalize closed class registrations.
HEY SENIORS Planning to graduate at the end of summer or fall 2000? If so, you need to apply for graduation by February 1. Graduation Packets are available in the Registrar's Office.

FAREWELL TO RICK On January 7, Rick Cranford is leaving his position as customer service coordinator for the Albers School to pursue a new challenge with King County as an intern in their solid waste division. Rick will be around on a temporary basis until his replacement is hired. |
INTERNATIONAL STUDY OPPORTUNITIES CHINA....FRANCE...SPAIN...ITALY...JAPAN...BRAZIL Are you interested in exploring any of these countries through study abroad opportunities? If your answer is yes or even maybe, you should attend the following events. International Study Opportunities, February 2, noon-1 pm in Pigott 416. Paul Milan, Co-director of SU's International Studies Office, will discuss exchange and study abroad options for business students. The Jesuit China Program, January 24, 4:00-5:00 pm in Pigott 416. Tom Steinbugler, S.J. will be on campus to discuss this unique program designed specifically for business students. He will be giving a brief power point presentation and answering questions about the program. This exchange program is designed to allow students to apply their SU financial aid to the tuition costs in China.
New Venture Plan Competition Seattle University's Entrepreneurship Center is sponsoring its 2nd annual competition in conjunction with the 3rd annual competition at the University of Washington. Opportunity to develop a business plan Receive feedback from experienced mentors Develop networks Experience the entrepreneurial challenge Win prizes and money (UW prize is $25,000 for first place) SU Application is Due on January 14. Award: $250 to $1,000 cash scholarships, one each of the Becker CPA and CMA review courses, one Rigos CPA review course, $500 tuition on Gearty Fox review course. State Farm Companies Foundation Exceptional Student Fellowship. Fellowships available to current full-time juniors or seniors majoring in an area of business. Applicants must have significant leadership in extracurricular activities, 3.6 GPA, nominated by SU faculty or staff, currently enrolled, and are a US citizen. Award: $3000.
