Travel Tips

Experience the Italian Renaissance while studying topical business issues with preeminent scholars and select colleagues.

The rustic Tuscan town of Sansepolcro, birthplace of Luca Pacioli, will once again host our study tour. Sansepolcro, a walled city in the upper Tiber Valley, is rich in medieval and Renaissance monuments. The town will display its abundant artistic and intellectual heritage during our visit. Some highlights will include:

* Lectures by noted international scholars on the arts, commerce and politics of Renaissance Italy.

* Tours of Medicean Fortresses and Romanesque cathedrals, including Pacioli's historic monastery.

* Tours to surrounding historical cities, such as Perugia.

* An Apennines mountain trek from the medieval Franciscan Monastery, Montecasale, which sheltered St. Francis Assisi, St. Anthony and St. Bonaventure to the ancient hill-town of Montagne; where we will enjoy a festive country feast overlooking the Tiber valley (the trek will be led by the renown adventurer, Bill Weis).

* Demonstrations by the "Sbandieratori di Sansepolcro" (flagmen of Sansepolcro) and "Balestratori di Sansepolcro" (crossbow-men of Sansepolcro) of traditional Renaissance performing arts.

* Social events (dinners, dances, concerts) enjoyed with Sansepolcro students and families.

All of this, while mastering from three to nine graduate (or five to ten undergraduate) credit hours of business course work. The courses offered this year include:
