Why study in France?
France is in the midst of transition, from a well-to-do modern economy
that has featured extensive government ownership and intervention to one
that relies more on market mechanisms. The government has partially or
fully privatized many large companies, banks, and insurers. This is a
particularly rich time to study business in a French university. You
will see and study first hand the transition of France as the European
Union evolves. French business practices are superficially similar to
the American model, but you will observe how French history and culture
molds the country’s business and economic practices.
You will find your time in France rich in cultural opportunities. Use
the world’s best rail system or rent a car to explore France and
surrounding countries. Paris is less than three hours from Bordeaux by
fast train. France shares borders with Belgium, Germany, Italy,
Luxembourg, Monaco, Spain and Switzerland. Luxembourg is a nine-hour
drive, and eight hours to the French Riviera and the Italian border.
Drive to Spain or Biarritz on the Atlantic coast in less than two hours.
Why study in Bordeaux?
The Bordeaux Business School is part of France’s Grand Ecoles, the
pinnacle of the French education system. At BBS you will encounter an
intellectual environment that will challenge you to do your best work.
In off hours you can explore the centuries old city of Bordeaux and the
fabulous chateaux of the Bordeaux wine region that surrounds the city.
