<<Previous Albers Brief, Winter 2002 Dean's Message June has been an inspiring month. Why? One source of inspiration is that we awarded 218 undergraduate degrees and 220 graduate degrees in business from Seattle University. Our students are a very talented bunch, and we were inspired and excited by their march across the stage on graduation day, June 16th. We know that they will go on to accomplish great things professionally and for the community. They will take on important leadership roles and set about making the world a better place. June has also been the month when we have put the finishing touches on our strategic plan. It all started back in January, and we have ended up with a blueprint for our future initiatives. The plan was the easy part. Now we have to set about making it happen. As I complete my first year as dean of ASBE, I am not only struck by the quality of our students, faculty, and staff, but also by the tremendous support of our alumni and the business community. We will work hard to continue to attract talented students, retain exceptional faculty and staff, and meet the expectations of our benefactors. We hope you enjoy this edition of the Albers Brief.
