COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course will examine business ethics & culture in France and the EU. Students will gain knowledge of ethical theories and their application in an international context. Business visitations in France will include discussions of ethical issues involving human resource management, strategic planning, government regulation, and management philosophy.
COURSE PREREQUISITE: Permission of Instructor

and three French language & culture sessions with dates/times to be determined.
Business visitations in France April 23-May 5, 2002 per study tour schedule.
RESEARCH PAPER: Students are to prepare a research paper based upon an ethical issue/case discovered during the study tour in France. These are expected to be comprehensive research papers with appropriate references. Papers are due May 31, 2002.
JOURNAL: It is recommended that all students are to keep a journal of their observations during the study tour in France. This journal will assist students in the discussions during the trip and help in the preparation of the research paper.

A to A- = 100% to 90%
B+ to B- = 89% to 80%
C+ to C- = 79% to 70%
D+ to D- = 69% to 60%
E = Below 60%
