Professional History:
With a
25-year career in wireless and telecom,
Annette Jacobs has managed multi-billion
dollar business units in
wireless/telecom with GTE Wireless,
Verizon Wireless, Qwest Communications
and AT&T. Her core expertise in building
growth organizations, assembling core
leadership teams and improving financial
results has built her reputation as a
leader. Her positions have taken her
from Atlanta, San Francisco, Chicago,
Denver, Alabama and New Jersey.
Most
recently she entered the technology
sector as the Chair and CEO for a
venture-backed web services company in
Seattle. She transitioned the
organization into a market leader
serving Fortune 100 clients, winning
more than 16 industry distinctions
including a Stevie award for “Best
Overall Company” in June 2007.
She serves
as the Lead Independent Director for
Alaska Communications Systems (NASDAQ:ALSK).
She is currently vice chair of the
Washington Software Alliance (WSA) and
on the board executive committees for
the Seattle Humane Society and National
Association of Corporate Directors. In
addition, she also serves on the Seattle
University Albers School of Business and
Economics, Dean’s Executive Advisory
Board. Annette is also a recognized
national speaker on business ethics and
leadership.
She and her family live in Clyde Hill,
Washington, where they are involved with
Bellevue youth sports and Medina
Elementary School.
