Professional History:
Lori Homer
has been an executive coach for ten
years. Her coaching emphasis includes
leveraging 360° and personality
feedback, leadership development and
increasing personal effectiveness
through developing emotional
intelligence and mindful learning
skills. Lori has worked with Seattle
University’s “Leading With Dignity”™
executive leadership development program
for the past six years. Lori also works
as an independent consultant with a
range of different organizations (small
to large, not-for-profit, independent
businesses, and multinational
corporations) in implementing and
assessing leadership performance and
development initiatives. Lori is
currently completing a project with a
global multi-national corporation in
which multi-rater peer and direct report
feedback ties to executive bonuses. Lori
has worked as a research director of a
Ford Foundation-funded project tracking
social scientists’ career paths and for
the Boeing Company’s Leadership Center,
where she coached executives and
consulted on a number of projects
focused on leadership development, work
group effectiveness, and organizational
culture change.
Lori
completed her Ph.D. at the University of
Washington Business School in 2004. Her
dissertation “Status Characteristics and
Institutional Legitimacy” won a national
dissertation award from Wharton, the
University of Pennsylvania’s Business
School. Lori’s research interests
include career paths and leadership
development of professionals with a
particular interest in women’s career
progression.
