Background:
John teaches as an adjunct faculty for Seattle U because in his own school days he missed the lecture that discussed maximizing the net present value of future cash flows, but did attend the lecture on maximizing utility. As can be seen from his official website photo, John's interest in teaching began at an early age. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in both accounting and finance at the university level. In his day job, he is the owner of Taxation Counseling P.S., a firm he started to specialize in tax planning for high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and their businesses.
John received several degrees culminating in a Master of Taxation degree from the College of Law and College of Business Administration of the University of Denver. John is inordinately proud of this diploma, as he believes it to be the widest diploma of any faculty member in the Albers School of Business. John is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Washington and Certified Financial Planner.
His two very spoiled cats and dog view him as having some potential, but still
exhibiting a great deal of room for improvement.
