BASF sells a diverse product mix including chemicals, polymers, automotive and industrial coatings, colorants, and agricultural products. 2005 sales were approximately $12 billion and the company employs about 10,000 people in the US. Worldwide sales in 2005 $53 billion, employees 82,000.

1978 - 2004 Executive Vice-President and Member of the Board, BASF Corporation, President - NAFTA II with responsibility for sales of $5 billion, 5,000 personnel and geographic responsibility for all NAFTA countries plus Central America. Product areas included all plastics, (urethane, styrenics and engineering plastics) automotive paints, agricultural chemicals, vitamins and pharmaceutical intermediates. This responsibility covered one-half of BASF's NAFTA operations.

BASF Committees: Member of the global personnel commission responsible for worldwide selection, training and mentoring of executive candidates. Member of the global branding commission responsible for selection of the new BASF brand identity. Member of the global e-commerce commission responsible for standards and implementation.
