Areas of Responsibility - Job Description: 

Mark Gould is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Mark also serves as the Chief Information Officer for the Federal Reserve Systems Cash Product Office, which is headquartered in the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank. The Banks Information Technology function provides overall management and support of the Banks technology infrastructure, and application development services to the Bank, several Federal Reserve System functions, and the U.S. Treasury. The Cash Product Office provides software development, testing, and operational support for all cash processing and vault automation nationwide.

In addition to his automation duties, Mark serves as Branch Manager for the Seattle Office, overseeing the Seattle Branch Board of Directors and its contribution to monetary policy decisions.

Mark and his team are currently working on a major project to design and implement a new nationwide cash processing automation platform, as well as several large-scale application development projects, including one for the US Treasury and a centrally-provided identity management platform for the Federal Reserve System.

Areas of Expertise - Employment History: 

In his fifteen years at that Bank, he has worked in and managed a variety of operating areas, worked on several System-level projects, and completed a short term assignment at the Board of Governors in Washington D.C.

Education - Personal History: 

Mark joined the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco in 1991, and holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from Pacific Lutheran University, and a Masters degree in Applied Economics from Seattle University.

Civic Organization Memberships or Professional Affiliations: 

Mark is a member of the Banks Executive Committee, and he serves on Seattles Community Development Roundtable and the Seattle University Albers School Economics Advisory Board.
