Industry: Biotechnology

Description of Company:

Trubion Pharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of novel medicines to treat inflammatory disease and cancer. The company utilizes proprietary technology to develop drugs that are safer and more effective than currently available therapies.

Trubion has developed a proprietary product engine to create a novel class of compounds known as SMIPs (Small Modular ImmunoPharmaceuticals). SMIPs are highly-specific, single-chain polypeptides designed with optimized target binding and effector functions to overcome limitations of therapeutic antibodies and antibody alternatives.
