At December 31, 2005, WaMu and its subsidiaries had assets of $343.12 billion. The company currently operates more than 2,600 retail banking, mortgage lending, commercial banking and financial services offices throughout the nation.

Areas of Responsibility - Job Description: 

Responsible for enhancing and mitigating threats to WaMu’s reputation to add greater value to the brand and positively impact how WaMu is perceived by key stakeholders.

Manage Issues Management Team and build a Reputation Management component. Work closely with key externally facing partners, including Investor Relations, Government Relations, Community and External Affairs and Regulatory Relations. Chair and lead WaMu’s Issues Management Council and communicate issues briefings to senior WaMu management. Partner with Legal, respective business lines and Operational Excellence to ensure alignment with WaMu’s goals, strategies, and key focus areas, and to deepen employee engagement and drive effectiveness.
