Scholarship: WSCPA Peninsula Chapter James Shank Memorial Scholarship
Who:
  • At least junior status in college and accepted into accounting department.
  • Grade point average of at least 3.0.
  • Graduate of an Olympic Peninsula area high school or a current resident of the Peninsula Chapter Area (which includes Kitsap, Clallam, Jefferson, and the Belfair area of Mason County).

  • Fourth and Fifth year students who have completed at least a Junior level accounting course.
  • Have declared their majors as accounting.

Scholarship: 2008-2009 Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship
Who:
  • Students majoring in Accounting or Criminal Justice
  • Taking at least 12 semester hours or graduate student taking at least 9 semester hours
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA

Amount: $1,000 Scholarship

Scholarship: National AWSCPA Scholarship Application
Who:
  • Applicant must meet the minimum education requirements to sit for the CPA exam within one year of scholarship awarding.
  • Applicant must either be an entering senior, 5th year student, graduate student or a graduate AND eligible to take a review course within one year of scholarship awarding.
  • Applicant must have a 3.0 GPA in accounting and a 3.0 GPA overall.
  • Applicant must either be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident of the United States.
Funded by: American Women’s Society of Certified Public Accountants and Becker CPA Review
Amount: A Becker CPA Review Course valued at $2,995
Deadline: Completed applications and other required documents should be mailed by March 15, 2008. Due Date of application is June 1, 2008. Applicants will be notified of acceptance on June 30.

Scholarship: Clark Nuber 2008-2009 Scholarship for Accounting Majors
Who:
  • Academic achievement: Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Campus and/or community activities
  • Work history
  • Responses to short essay questions
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Probability of success/obtaining a CPA license
  • Applicants must have completed their sophomore year.
Funded by: Clark Nuber Scholarship Program
Amount: $1,000 merit-based scholarship
