Accounting Department

MPAC
Master of Professional Accounting

The largest nationally accredited,
evening program
for working professionals in the Pacific Northwest

The Master of Professional Accounting program offers an exceptional curriculum that prepares students for accounting careers by expanding upon their leadership, technical, analytical, communication, and learning abilities within an ethical framework.  Essential skills development includes critical thinking, effective written and oral communication, effective teamwork, and proficiency in the use of the computer for research, retrieval, and problem solving.

The program provides a broad-based business education, equipping students with the necessary technical knowledge, communication skills and critical thinking abilities expected by employers and required of future leaders and accounting professionals.

The MPAC degree requires a minimum of 46 graduate credit hours (14 three-credit courses and 1 four-credit course) beyond the undergraduate degree and any of the basic business and accounting prerequisites.

Our MPAC also satisfies the fifth year education requirement adopted to date by 46 states for licensure as a CPA and by the AICPA as a requirement for membership
