Scholarships

The following is a list of current scholarships available to students majoring in business and economics. It will be updated as additional scholarship opportunities are received. Please note almost all renew themselves each year. Check for current information if deadline has passed.

Unless otherwise noted, scholarship applications or contact information is available at the Albers School main desk in Pigott 318.

Scholarship: William G. McGowan Scholarship
Who:

Undergraduate: Full-time business majors who will have completed at least 90 credits by Spring 2008, and have at least a 3.0 GPA.

Graduate: Have completed at least one quarter in the Albers School, and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. 

Funded by: The William G. McGowan Charitable Fund
Amount: Up to $18,000
Deadline: Completed application packets must be submitted to the Albers School by March 19, 2008

Scholarship: Puget Sound Business Journal's Women of Influence Lytle Enterprises Scholarship
Who:

Female student enrolled in MBA program in Washington State

Funded by: Puget Sound Business Journal & Karen Lytle Enterprises
Amount: $5000
Deadline: Completed application packets must be postmarked by March 31, 2008

Scholarship: NSH MBA Scholarship
Who: Hispanic students seeking an MBA or equivalent.
Funded by: National Society of Hispanic MBAs
Amount: Ranging from $2,500 for part-time students to $10,000 for full-time students
Deadline: Completed application packets must be postmarked by April 30, 2008

Scholarship: Seattle Society of Financial Analysts Scholarship (SSFA)
Who: Graduate: Candidates with an interest in finance/investments and enrolled in either MBA or MSF program at Seattle University
Funded by: Seattle Society of Financial Analysts
Amount: $2,200
Deadline: Application and resume due to Mary Carpenter by April 21, 2008.
