Collegia Program
*Commuter Student -
Anyone who does not live on campus
A COLLEGIUM is a gathering place... a home away from home for commuter
students... a place of your own, and for others interested from your college...
to relax in, study in, eat in... to spend some quiet time alone... or to catch
up with classmates... to come to for an informal talk given by a favorite
faculty... for a special film or dinner, maybe music and coffee... study at a
table with a friend...
Your home away from home!
A Collegium is a gathering place, or a home away from home for students.
Seattle University has created one of the Collegiums specifically for the our
busy commuter and graduate students. The Collegia offer different types of home
environment, which include small kitchens, comfortable sofas and reading lamps,
study tables, stereos, VCRs, computers and printers.
Graduate Students
The
Reidy
Collegium is located on the third floor of the new Student Center. The
Reidy welcomes commuter graduate students and non-traditional aged
undergrads (25 and older) from all schools. Graduate students, currently spread
out among the Collegia, will now be grouped together.
The Reidy Collegium space has been designed with a northwest theme
using stone, wood, skylight and a fireplace, providing a space to relax, catch
up with classmates, study, or spend some quiet time alone.
The Reidy Collegium will be open
Monday-Thursday from 7 am - 9 pm
Fridays, 7 am - 4 pm
Undergraduate Students
The Chardin
Collegium is located in Xavier Hall. Enter on the west side of the building.
The Chardin Collegium will be open
Monday-Thursday from 7 am - 6 pm
Fridays, 7 am - 4 pm
Enrollment for the academic year begins the first day of school and is
ongoing although it may become limited due to capacity limits. Students wishing to enroll should come to the space anytime during open hours
and a staff person will assist them.
