In the News:

Rex Toh was quoted in a Seattle Times article on July 12, 2005, "Car-sharing rival plans to head west," addressing the expansion of Zipcar into the Seattle market. Zipcar is a rival to Flexcar. Rex was aptly described as a transportation specialist at the Albers School.

Rex Tohs article co-authored with Habibullah Khan and Lynette Goh, Japanese Demand for Tourism in Singapore: A Co-integration Approach, has been accepted for publication in the Tourism Analysis.

Rex Toh's article co-authored with Fred DeKay and Gail Lasprogata, "Attrition Clauses: Outstanding Issues and Recommendation for Meeting Planners," has been published in the International Journal of Hospitality Management, 2005.

Rex Toh's article, Two Stage Shift Share Analyses of Tourism Arrivals and Arrivals by Purpose of Visit: The Singapore Experience, co-authored with Habibullah Khan and Lay-Ling Lim, was published in the Journal of Travel Research, 2004.

Rex Toh's article, "The Travel Balance Approach and Contributing Factors to Tourism Rejuvenation in Australia and New Zealand," co-authored with Christine Lim and Juergen Gnoth, was published in the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism, 2003.

Rex Toh and Peter Raven had their article, Perishable Asset Revenue Management: Integrated Internet Marketing Strategies for the Airlines, published in the Transportation Journal, 2003.

The article "Competitors are Eager toTake on UAL's Business, featuring Rex Toh appeared in the Tacoma News Tribune, Tuesday, December 10, 2002.

Rex Toh authored An Empirical Validation of the Travel Balance Approach as an Alternative to the Tourism Area Life Cycle, which was published in Tourism Analysis, 2003. The paper was co-authored with Habibullah Khan and Irene Siew-Leng Yap.

Rex Toh and Fred DeKay will have their article, "Hotel Room Inventory Management: An Overbooking Model," published in the August edition of  the Cornell HRA Quarterly.

Rex Toh has been appointed to the Editorial Board of Tourism Analysis. Congratulations to Rex for this recognition of his expertise in the study of the tourism industry.

Rex Toh was awarded a 2002 ASBE summer research grant for "Behavioral Regression Toward the Mean in Consumer Dietary Panels."
