Exploring Relationships among Monitoring Characteristics, Perceived Fairness, and Job Performance," at the St. Louis meetings, April 3 -
5, 2003.
Dr Debbie Wells is teaching Management courses at Seattle U this
year while on sabbatical from Creighton University where she is Department Chair
of the Department of Marketing and Management. Professor Wells has also
served as Assistant Dean at Creighton where she has taught for the last 14
years. Dr Wells did both her MS and her PhD at Iowa State. She
received her master's degree in Industrial Relations and her doctorate
emphasized Industrial Psychology. Her research passions lie in the areas
of the impact of leadership on ethics, group processes and ethics, HR and
ethics, and women and ethics.
In the classroom, Professor Wells expects students to bring as
much of their own experience into the discussion as possible. She wants
students to come prepared to talk and to offer both the good and bad examples
one sees everyday in the workplace. Dr Wells will teach the background
theories, offering students a "toolbox" to utilize in the application
and approach to problem diagnosis and solving. Come with an open mind and
be ready for experiential activities when enrolled in Professor Wells' classes.
In her time outside the classroom , Dr Wells is a certified
scuba diver.
