Banchero Friends Services provides supported living services to adults with developmental disabilities. We are a small non-profit serving 24 adults. A need we have identified is having someone to provide fitness coaching, instruction, and motivation for our clients. People with developmental disabilities are more vulnerable than the average population to a number of health conditions. We want to do everything we can to avert the preventable ones. JOB SUMMARY: This internship will allow the selected student to share the experience of managing a program for geriatric patients with a diverse array of needs. The internship would allow the student to accumulate observation hours for physical therapy school as well as gain experience doing personal training, exercise testing, and group fitness.
