The mission of the Bachelor in Sport & Exercise Science program is to prepare individuals for positions of leadership in the fitness, medical, and sport industries through a combination coursework delivered by highly experienced teaching faculty and a vast array of practical real-world experiences.
Entrusted with the dreams of its students, the ultimate objective for faculty and staff in the BSES program is to provide students with the knowledge and skills required for effective professional delivery of services and to enable them to function as positive influence for the individuals and organizations they will encounter throughout their careers and lives.
The Bachelor in Sport & Exercise Science program is intimately connected to the mission of Seattle University as it: Advances Seattle University’s mission of “educating the whole person” and “empowering leaders for a just and humane world” Contributes to the campus-wide conversation on the University’s strategic goal of improving the integration of academics and athletics, by collaborative activities with other academic units, the Athletic Department and the College of Science & Engineering Provides a framework for developing outreach efforts in sport and exercise.
