IAPS is instituting a Student Travel Award for the 2009 Conference in Seattle. The goal of this award is to help students (graduate and undergraduate) defray the costs of travel and accommodations at the association’s annual conference. Please note the July 1 deadline to submit application - download application
If you are interested in attending the Seattle Mariners baseball game while at the conference, there was some difficulty in using the on-line purchasing system for tickets for the international attendees but the Seattle University committee and Mariners have arranged an alternative plan.Individuals from outside of the U.S. may email your information directly to Corinne Fowler at cfowler@mariners.com; she will put your tickets at Will Call so you can pick them up at the stadium. Let her know you are attending the IAPS conference and how many tickets you would like to reserve.
Congratulations again on being selected to present your academic work at the 37th Annual meeting of the International Association for the Philosophy of Sport, hosted by Seattle University August 27-30th, 2009.The final schedule has been set for the presentations, and can be found here: IAPS ScheduleEach presentation room is technology equipped with a projector, screen, and computer. Technical assistance will be available as well. If you have any questions or concerns about the time of your presentation etc, please feel free to contact myself via e-mail and I will respond to your request as soon as possible.Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at the end of August!
