The Sport and Exercise degree gives students the foundation to use scientific research to enhance personal fitness and sport performance. In addition to coursework, our students work with clients to develop plans to improve their health and fitness
The Human Performance Lab serves as the research and clinical training venue for undergraduate students pursuing a Bachelor in Sport & Exercise Science. The lab, which has an affiliation with a medical practice, provides students with the opportunity for a year-long clinical training that includes observing and assisting with fitness assessment and exercise prescription while supervised and informed by Seattle University Human Performance Lab staff.
Human Performance lab staff is actively engaged in research related to design of exercise equipment and prosthetics, efficacy of training, and prevention of or rehabilitation from injury, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancer.
