The Student Executive Council (SEC) is a student advisory board to the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. The students are all undergraduates who each represent a different department in the College of Arts and Sciences as well as the student body as a whole.
The representatives work as the students' voice to those who can make change happen in the College as well as in each department working as a link between students, Dean, and the Chair of each department.
The Student Executive Council has been around for over ten years and will continue to be a presence for you, the students, here on campus. If you have further questions, contact our SEC chair, Adrian Lott.
Applications for SEC Representatives are accepted annually. Recruitment of representatives for the 2015-2016 academic year will take place May 1-15, 2015. If you have any questions about SEC or the application process, contact Adrian Lott. Additional information about joining SEC can be found here.
Have a favorite essay? The Student Executive Council hosts an annual scholarship competition open to all undergraduates in the College of Arts and Sciences. Selected students will be awarded a $250 cash prize and be recognized at the A&S Awards Ceremony. Submissions for the 2014-2015 Scholastic Competition will be accepted between March 30 and April 24, 2015.
The Student Executive Council annually recognizes our favorite Teachers, Advisors, and Staff members on campus. This is a much coveted award for our teachers, advisors, and staff members. Nominations for the 2014-2015 awards will be accepted between March 30 and April 24, 2015.
