Study politics from an international perspective at Uppsala University’s Department of Government in Sweden. The program in politics offers a wide range of courses including Swedish politics, international politics, political theory, comparative politics, administrative politics, European politics, political psychology and development studies.
Coursework At the Department of Government every aspect of political life is studied - from the ideas of ancient thinkers to the decision-making of today. The problems of democracy are dealt with from the point of view of classical theory and contemporary debate. At the department the rules and practices of Swedish politics, the origins of power and the execution of power among the electorate, parties and the government are studied. Other study areas are comparative studies of foreign countries, systems of government and politics, as well as the interplay between states at the global political arena.
