Graduation  Process 

Make sure everything is in order 

If you are planning to graduate soon, take some time to check your program evaluation online https://suonline.seattleu.edu/  

Make sure everything is order, Independent Studies, Internships, Transferred Credits, Grades, etc.

If you find any problems with your Program Evaluation contact Rose Kaser so it can be fixed ASAP. 

Apply for Graduation

Graduate students who are in the final year of their program are eligible for graduation and will apply via SU Online 

• Login onto SU Online
• Click on Access Student Menu 
• Select Application for Graduation under Academic Profile on the right side of the screen 

 It is the responsibility of the student to apply to graduate. 

Once you have submitted your Application for Graduation, a Student Academic Specialist will audit your records and work with your academic adviser to clarify the remaining requirements you need to complete the degree. You should expect to receive an official graduation letter in the mail in approximately 4-6 weeks.  

 Deadlines to apply for graduation: 

•  Winter Quarter Graduation: October 1 
•  Spring Quarter Graduation: November 1 
•  Summer and Fall Quarter Graduation: February 1  

Participate in Commencement

The Commencement Ceremonies at Seattle University commemorate your accomplishments and offer congratulations on your efforts. This climactic experience is for graduates, families, and friends to celebrate and enjoy a momentous closing of a college career and the welcoming of a new beginning. 

Graduate students who will be within 6 credits of completing their degree requirements after Spring quarter and who meet the minimum GPA requirements for their degree programs as of Winter quarter are eligible to participate in commencement.
