MSAL Application
The sports industry has grown considerably over the past ten years and is continually expanding, offering an incredible array of career paths in professional sports, intercollegiate athletics, Olympic sports, interscholastic environments, community sports, support services, venue management and media. Positions vary from directors of marketing and promotions, corporate sales, ticket office, facilities coordinator, athletic director, compliance coordinators, etc. Sport managers typically work long hours, including nights and weekends.
At Seattle University, the goal isn’t merely for students to get a job but to make a difference in an organization. The MSAL program trains students for leadership positions in sport organizations.
Small classes foster a collegial environment, which enable students to get to know their professors, create a professional network with peers and find their place in the sports sector. The Seattle University Sports Administration and Leadership program brings together a mix of faculty from academia and the sports world to give students both a theoretical knowledge base as well as an understanding of the real world of sports management practice.
Recently Seattle University Sports Administration and Leadership graduates have enjoyed a 97% job placement rate within six months of graduating.
Degrees offered: Master of Arts in Sports Administration and Leadership (MSAL) and the joint degree with the Law School (JD/MSAL)
