Internship relationships have been established with many local, regional, and national institutions. Students have the option of securing one long-term internship to enrich a personal career focus or several short-term experiences to explore the various careers available in the industry.

She is a pleasure to be around and a great part of our team.” – Beth DeBauche, Director of Division IMegan was our most recent intern with the NCAA Internship Program in Indianapolis, Indiana. The NCAA Internship program is a one-year internship at the national office in Indianapolis, Indiana providing on-the-job learning experiences for college graduates who express an interest in pursuing a career in the administration of intercollegiate athletics. The governance staff provides administrative support to the NCAA's federated governance structure, which includes Divisions I, II and III, and Association-wide governance entities. The overall governance structure includes approximately 1,100 representatives from NCAA schools and conferences serving on more than 175 committees. The governance staff's primary duties include working directly with the presidential bodies, councils and cabinets that direct the affairs of each division. They work closely with the staff liaisons to the various committees, preparing for and attending committee meetings and facilitating the communication between the governance structure, the national office staff and the membership as a whole.

Woody has been interning with the University of Colorado Men's Basketball over the last year. During his internship he has been responsible for organizing and maintaining the recruiting database, as well as putting together weekly recruiting mail outs to prospective athletes. In addition, he has been assisting with game scheduling, organizing and coordinating practice times for opposing teams during home games, as well as contacting opposing teams and procuring practice times for UC's basketball team during away games. He has also been assisting in video technician work; contacting and obtaining game videos from team opponents, as well as editing and organizing game clips for coaching staff. He works as an academic liaison, ensuring basketball players are in class and productive off the court. He also organizes and maintains the elite-camp database, contacting and updating information pertaining to th 'elite' summer camps. Last, but certainly not least, he assists the Director of Men’s Basketball Operations in various day to day tasks.
