Quantitative Research Option

The quantitative research project manuscript is approximately 20-33 pages (excluding references, tables, and appendices) and will consist of the following five major sections:

  1. Introduction (2-3 pages)
  2. Review of Literature (8-12 pages)
  3. Methods (2-4 pages)
  4. Results (2-4 pages)
  5. Discussion (6-10 pages) 

However, before starting the process, you must download and read the deadlines for the quantitative option (see below).

  • Then, determine whether you need to submit your proposal to the IRB. Please discuss with your advisor before making this decision.
  • The first deliverable is the prospectus. Please follow the quantitative prospectus example and use the rubric (see below).
  • Second, create and submit the outline. Examples of outlines are found below.
  • Third, create and submit the proposal within the outline. See examples below.
  • Fourth, submit IRB protocol to advisor if going through IRB is necessary.
  • Fifth, submit full draft of paper within outline (example below).
  • Sixth submit final copy of paper (examples below). Use rubric as well for a guide.
  • Seventh, submit PowerPoint presentation (examples below).
