Matthew Lacey MPA '06 Named Executive Director of the George Pocock Rowing Foundation

Matthew Lacey MPA '06 was promoted to Executive Director of the George Pocock Rowing Foundation (GPRF), after serving as Director of the Pocock Rowing Center for four years. GPRF is the parent nonprofit of both the Pocock Rowing Center in Eastlake and Row to the Future, a program partner of Seattle Public Schools.  

He has been involved with rowing as either an athlete, coach, or administrator for over 25 years. Prior to joining Pocock, he was the Director of the Everett Rowing Association, and has coached for the Lakeside School, Green Lake Crew, and the Everett Rowing Association.

The GPRF was created in 1984 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to honor the memory of George Pocock. The GPRF’s mission is to build and support high quality programs and facilities that promote access to rowing, excellence in rowing, and use rowing as a means to foster physical activity, health, leadership and community engagement.
